Here is a list of stars named in various "canon" scenarios that have to be assigned to real stars.

Here is the text file containing all the information of all stars within 15 parsecs except for empire ownership. It is sorted by Gliese catalogue number, which is fairly worthless. This data was used to make the map M15.gif.

Here is the text file containing the same data as the above text file, except stars of spectral class M are excluded. This is because such stars are very unlikely to possess human habitable planets.
